    Make Your Appetizer Different With Grilled Tofu Wonton Bowls

    Flavorful and healthy Grilled Tofu Wonton Tacos or Bowls are made with Asian salad dressing, tofu and cole slaw.

    A perfect finger-food and my go-to party appetizer that comes together in 30 minutes!. So check out the recipe and enjoy.

    INGREDIENTS: TACO OR BOWL INGREDIENTS:

    1 packet Extra firm tofu (340 grams)

    1-2 tablespoon Olive oil

    15-20 pieces of Homemade wonton wrappers

    1/4 cup Diced green Onions

    4 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce

    1/4 cup Chopped cilantro leaves - to garnish

    STIR FRY SAUCE - MAKES 1/4 CUP

    1/2 teaspoon Ginger paste

    1/2 teaspoon Garlic paste

    2 teaspoon Brown Sugar or Regular sugar

    1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil

    1.5 teaspoon Cornstarch/Cornflour

    1.25 tablespoon Soy sauce

    1 tablespoon Rice wine Vinegar

    A pinch of Paprika or Red chili powder

    Salt to taste

    ASIAN DRESSING - MAKES 1/2 CUP

    3 tablespoon Rice wine Vinegar

    1 tablespoon Soy sauce

    2 tablespoon Sesame Oil

    1 tablespoon Any Vegetable Oil

    1 teaspoon Brown Sugar or Regular sugar

    1/3 cup Water

    COLE SLAW INGREDIENTS:

    1 packet of Cole Slaw (450 grams)

    2 tablespoon Soy sauce

    2 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce

    3 tablespoon Asian Dressing

    Prepare Wraps

    There are two ways to prepare wraps either you can grill them in your oven, like the way they are shown in the picture.

    Brush wonton wrappers with oil and fold them on your oven rack. Grill until crispy and brown - @200 degree F for 10- 15 minutes.

    Prepare Bowls

    If you like to make them into bowls - preheat oven @200 degree F. Grease a baking tray and fold wonton wrapper in each grove.

    Bake It

    After baking it for 10 minutes you can put it aside for few minutes.

    Grill Tofu

    To grill tofu. Remove tofu from its box. Press in between your palms and squeeze out all the liquid. Grease a griddle and grill tofu until light brown in color.

    Allow it to cool completely. Dice into small cubes. Transfer diced tofu to a plastic bag and set it aside.

    Prepare Sauce

    Take a bowl and add 1/2 tsp Ginger paste, 1/2 tsp Garlic paste, 2 tsp Brown Sugar or regular sugar, 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil, 1.5 tsp Cornflour, 1.25 tbsp Soy sauce, 1 tbsp Rice wine Vinegar, a pinch of red chili powder and salt. Add salt as per your taste and mix everything properly.

    Add Sauce To Tofu

    Pour this sauce over diced tofu and shake well to coat. Heat oil in a pan and cook tofu for 5-7 minutes. Remove from flame and allow it to cool. If using other form of protein like chicken than cook until chicken is browned.

    Prepare Dressing

    Assemble ingredients for Asian dressing. Combine in a bowl and mix until well blended. Save 3 tablespoon of this sauce for later use.

    Mix with Veggies

    Pour this mixture over Cole Slaw and mix it properly.

    Prepare Tacos

    Time to assemble our bowls or tacos.

    Serve It

    Arrange bowls in a plate. Generously add sauteed tofu at the base. Top with cole slaw. Add chopped spring onions on top and serve it to your friends.
