On Tuesday the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths of Jamnagar and Rajkot division carried out investigation at residence of, Mahendra Jadav, the deputy engineer of Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB) at Morbi and accountant Mukesh Daftari. Both officials were caught on Monday taking bribe of Rs 2.3 lakh from a drainage contractor in Morbi evening.
The contractor Maqsood Kadival had filed a complaint against Jadav and Daftari for demanding bribe to clear his bills worth Rs 45 lakh from the government. Daftari had demanded for Rs 45,000 while Jadav had asked Rs 3.5 lakh.
